The 10 Best Tampa Wedding Venues
Tampa Bay is one of the most popular places in the country to get married, which means we have a lot of weddings. In 2020 alone over 15,000 couples were married at various wedding venues in Tampa. With over 100+ wedding venues, Tampa has something different to offer every couple. From beautiful beach wedding venues to urban upscale downtown wedding venues with rooftop views of the bay.
Narrowing down to one or two wedding venues (ceremony + reception) can be quite a daunting task. I’ve done my absolute best to make it a little easier on you though, with just 10 of my favorite Tampa wedding venues to choose from. Tampa is literally so blessed to have everything from theaters, repurposed bank vaults, rooftop hotels, and even yachts to choose from.

1. The Oxford Exchange
The Oxford Exchange is one of the best wedding venues in downtown Tampa. It is unique in that its a combination of a bookstore, a restaurant and a wedding venue. It is an interesting mix of aesthetics being part industrial and part art deco. It is located just steps away from the University of Tampa and close to hotels nearby for guests. Aside from the stunning decor, I can personally recommend the food here as well – its some of the best food in Tampa.

Wedding Venue FAQ
The average cost of a wedding in Tampa cost was $23,400 between 2016-2019. In 2020 the average cost was brought down to $20,044 due to the rise in elopements related to the effects of the pandemic. However, experts are predicting that cost to rise in 2022 and beyond.
It is possible to find venues that are higher and lower in price depending on your guest count, amenity preferences, and of course… Location, location, location! Tampa wedding venues roughly begin at $3,000-$8,000 for 50 people, but average between $9,000-$14,000 for larger weddings.
Most weddings that I photograph are between 80-200 people. Larger non-western weddings can be upwards of 400 people. Micro-weddings usually have 50 guests or fewer. Elopements can vary but are typically less than 10 guests which would include the bride, groom, officiant, and usually a few friends or family members.
I suggest looking for a wedding venue that can accommodate all parts of the day, too much travel can throw a wrench in your timeline and become more of a hassle. Ideally, a wedding venue has a bridal suite, a groom suite, space for the ceremony, and reception, and is centrally located or has onsite opportunities for unique photographs.
Hotels, banquet halls, farms or barns, vineyards, wineries, parks/gardens/beaches, mansions, country clubs, lofts, or historic spaces can all be excellent wedding venues depending on your needs.
