bold, fun, and in the moment

you should have fun at your wedding – no matter what.

Laugh hard. Be fully present. Make Memories.

The couples I work with aren’t worried about perfection—they care about the experience.

They want bold, meaningful photos. The kind that feel alive. The kind you obsess over.

Too often, couples regret feeling like they have to choose between artistic & candid.

I say why can’t we do both?

I’ll guide when you need it, blend in when you don’t, and make sure the photos tell the truth:

That it was real. That it was fun. That it mattered.

Let’s make some art together.

why work with me?

your day, your way.

No cookie-cutter galleries here. Before your wedding day, I take the time to understand what matters most to you. The big moments, the small details, and everything in between. This helps create a timeline that flows naturally, so nothing important gets missed.

I have photographed over 200 weddings, I know how to handle anything your wedding day throws my way. No missed shots. No scrambling for backup plans. Just a calm, confident presence so you can focus on enjoying the day.

Posing That Feels Natural

Almost every couple tells me, “We’re awkward in photos.” I get it. That’s why I guide you with simple movements that feel natural. No stiff poses. No forced smiles. Just real moments that look and feel like you.

storytelling with purpose

Your wedding photos should take you back to how it felt. I anticipate moments before they happen, capturing emotions, interactions, and unexpected details that make your day uniquely yours.

Adaptability

My approach as a Phoenix wedding photographer is simple: Weddings are unpredictable, and I roll with it all. Tight timelines, last-minute weather changes, or shifting emotions—whatever happens, I adjust.

Frequently Asked Questions

To Phoenix Wedding Photographers

Stuff you should know.

Do you travel outside Phoenix for weddings?

Absolutely, I am a Phoenix wedding photographer but I love to travel! As a matter of fact, I have decided to include travel inside of the continental US in most of my wedding packages.

What’s included in your wedding photography packages?

You get me (Roy), timeline help, next-day previews, high-res files, a one-year gallery with a print store, and an on-site assistant. Travel anywhere in Arizona is included—no extra fees.

How many hours of wedding photography do I need?

Most couples go with either a half-day or full-day approach. Half-day works great for elopements or smaller celebrations. Full-day covers everything start to finish without stress. Instead of hourly limits, I help you build coverage around what actually matters—so you’re never stuck choosing between moments.

Do you photograph elopements?

Absolutely! If you’ve decided on an international or domestic elopement I am more than happy to be your phoenix photographer.

HOW LONG AFTER THE WEDDING WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?

I deliver the final edited photos within 10 weeks after the wedding day. However, I always deliver a few sneak peeks to you within two days!

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Yes, I’m fully insured and I can prove it! This protects my equipment and also gives peace of mind to venues and couples.

Why I Photograph Weddings in Phoenix

Wedding photography in phoenix is a lot of fun.

Phoenix has been home to me once before, and theres a lot to love about the area. A lot of people focus on mountains like Camelbak Mountain or The Superstition mountains but I love the culture, the insanely impressive architecture and the ability to consistently shoot without worrying about rain or other wise.

Phoenix has the best sunsets (Dobbin’s lookout), unique food, architecture (Burton Barr), day trips, and a lot of things that attracts couples that I love working with.

For me weddings are mostly people first – but I have to admit all the other things Phoenix brings to the wedding market really make it great.
