You’re only engaged for a little while.

After that, life moves fast.

This isn’t just about getting photos. It’s about creating something you’ll actually want to come back to years from now.

Most engagement sessions feel awkward because there’s no direction. Or they feel rushed because everything is packed into a quick 30–60 minute window.

That’s not how I approach this.

I treat engagement sessions the same way I approach weddings. There’s a plan going in, but it never feels forced. You’ll have clear direction when you need it, and space to just be yourselves when it matters.

You feel relaxed, celebrated, and actually enjoy what we’re doing. The photos just come out of that.

What to expect and why you’ll be so excited.

Phoenix engagement sessions that don’t feel forced

Most engagement sessions in Phoenix all look the same.

Same desert trail. Same mountain. Same quick shoot right before sunset with other couples nearby doing the exact same thing.

That’s not what we’re doing.

We’re not choosing basic locations. We’re choosing places that actually feel different. Speakeasy’s like Drop Dead Gorgeous or restaurants like Elvira’s at DC Ranch.

Sometimes it’s a spot that means something to you that most people wouldn’t even think to use.

These sessions are intentionally longer. Usually between 2–4 hours.

That gives us time to actually create something instead of rushing through it. We can explore, move between locations, change outfits, stop for a drink or a snack, and build images that feel like a story instead of a checklist.

During the engagement session

The way I shoot leans cinematic. You’ll get direction when you need it, but nothing feels stiff or forced. It’s structured enough to look intentional, but loose enough to still feel real.

We’ll spend a few hours doing things that actually matter to you. The kind of stuff that feels like your relationship.

That could be exploring Tempe at night, riding bikes at sunset, or going back to the place where you had your first date.

We plan it together so it feels like part adventure, part nostalgia, and unique to you.

Your full gallery is delivered within 30 days, ready to be shared and actually looked back on.
